[PEDA] Protel 99SE vs. Windows 7

Hi,

sorry to hear that it doesn't work for you. I also haven't succeed from the first attempt.

Can you try this to see if it is possible to work:

1. Copy "DC to DC.ddb" to root of the C drive.

2. Replace this line from "ADVPCB99SE.INI"

File0=D>MSACCESS:$RP>C:\Program Files\Design Explorer 99 SE\Library\Pcb\Generic Footprints$RN>Advpcb.ddb$OP>$ON>PCB Footprints.lib$ID>-1$ATTR>0$E>PCBLIB$STF>

and replace it with this one:

File0=D>MSACCESS:$RP>C:$RN>DC to DC.ddb$OP>$ON>DC to DC.lib$ID>-1$ATTR>0$E>PCBLIB$STF>

This works for me.

I already tried editing the ini files manually, and my libs are at 
the root of the ddb file. Still no joy. But Protel has no problem 
loading and editing the lib files, it just won't accept them as valid 
files afterwards.

FWIW I'm finding editing to be much faster under Win7. But that may 
have to do with a difference in video hardware too.

Still looking for a way to get those libraries loaded.....
