What follows is a copy of the text within a message which I recently sent
(just) to Peter Krause, as the details could be of interest to some of the
other members of this mailing list as well. (AFAIK, it is not possible to
attach files to messages sent to this mailing list, so if anyone else wants
copies of the files concerned, either download them from the "protel-users"
mailing list (if you are a member of it), or else ask me to send you copies
of them. The SchAddon_6_6_1.Zip file has a size of ~ 27.4kB, while the
PcbAddon_6_6_1.Zip file has a size of ~ 88.3kB.)

Hi Peter,

I'm glad to hear that there are yet others who appreciate the tips which I
have provided.

The URL for the home page of the Yahoo! mailing list which I referred to in
my previous message is as follows:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/protel-users

However, while anyone can read the messages which have been sent to that
mailing list, you can't download any files which are associated with that
mailing list unless you are signed up as a member (and to become a member,
you need to agree to various terms and conditions which Yahoo! has decreed).

For the time being, I am sending you copies of the files which I previously
uploaded to the Files section of that mailing list. Note that you *must*
have SP6 for Protel 99 SE installed in order for those addon servers to work
properly.

For your information, note that there is an error in the documentation
provided for the PcbAddon:ConfigureLayerVisibility Process (as listed within
the PcbAddon.hlp file); the list of available parameters refers to a
parameter of ColorCodedOptions, but that parameter should *really* be
ColorCodedCaptions instead.

There is also a bug which is manifested during the invocation of the "Layers
Display Control" dialog box if only one of the non-"System" (i.e. "User")
layers is currently displayed (though only if that layer is either one of
the external copper layers or one of the Overlay layers or the KeepOut layer
or MultiLayer layer), and I have since determined the cause of that bug.

If I release an updated version of the PcbAddon server, which I hope to do
at some stage, that bug will be rectified (along with the currently
misdocumented parameter for the PcbAddon:ConfigureLayerVisibility Process).

Regards,
Geoff Harland.
