[PEDA] GND Net gone

As fas as I know nothing was changed. I `loaded' all my preferences from the
previous installation although I still had to tweek a few things to get it
the way I wanted.

I hardly ever use hidden pins for the obvious reason that you can't see
them. The only exceptions are pins that are not used by the device (say a
single diode in an SOT23 package, for example) in which case the hidden pin
is there to keep the pcb footprint happy (these are also the ones that I
would like not to have automatically imported to the pcb file as a net).

I have and always do compile the project (I have never used the compile
schematic only option) so this should be a complete compile. When I go to
update the pcb (from within the pcb itself) the ECO list does not show GND.
It does show 0 which is a rogue net as it should only be there because of
the unused pins but appears to want to go to where all my GND connections
should be.

If I use the Netlist function in the schematic (I select protel option) it
also shows 0 as the GND net even though every Power Port is correctly
labelled GND.

Best Regards
